Sales Team Member - Full Time
Exotic Aquatics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a full-time Sales Team Member. The successful candidate will have a strong background in fish keeping and a passion for the industry. The position will involve sales, livestock care, and stock management.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers in making purchases and offer product recommendations
- Maintain knowledge of current inventory and product promotions
- Maintain knowledge of fish husbandry and care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and stock room
- Perform routine livestock care duties such as feeding, water changes, and tank maintenance
- Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise
- Utilize point of sale software and other computer programs to manage sales and inventory
- Meet and exceed sales goals
- Work closely with management to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Actively participate in training and development opportunities
Requirements:
- Strong background in fish keeping and aquarium maintenance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point of sale software
- Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for long periods of time
