Water Conditions: 26°C - 30°C,  pH: 6.1-7.5
 
Diet: These fish are carnivorous and will eat bloodworm, and also high range flake, and specialised Discus pellets.
 
Max. Size: 8"
 
Tank Mates: Dither fish would be recommended, i.e. Rummy Nose or Lemon Tetra.
 
Minimum Tank Size: 200L
 
Compatibility: Will get on with most small fish, not to be placed with fast moving, erratic or aggressive fish.
 
Temperament: Peaceful, but can be semi-aggressive.
 
Special Information: They are classed as a moderate difficulty to keep. A mature system is recommended before adding discus to the tank. This can be achieved by cycling the tank with dither fish for a period of two months before the addition of Discus. 

May require regular worming treatments.
